I raised a lot of cain back in my younger days while mama used to pray my crops would fail, now I'm a hunted fugitive with just two ways, out run the law or spend My life in jail. I'd like to settle down but they won't let Me, a fugitive must be a rolling stone, down every road theres always one more city, I'm on the run the highway is my home. **************************************************** I yOu could say, I've been there and done that. I got my first guitar when I was 10 years old and it didnt take me very long to learn to play it. there was just something inside of me that made me want to learn more and more. It wasnt long before I was singing and playing in church, as my Mother was a preacher.:) A few years later I realized that the girls looked a lot better in the bars than they did in church, so I put a band together, and started playing in all the bars and night clubs.I left home at fifteen and moved in with an older woman,:) When I was 17 I already had one hell of a burn-out and joined the navy. that was probably the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life. when I got out of the navy I went to Tulsa, Oklahoma and started singing in that area. I also had a contract to do commercials which was my bread and butter. I had a night club in tulsa that was really the in spot there. I was a country singer, but by demand, I put together a rock and roll band. I was the first entertainer in Tulsa to do progressive country music. I might have been the first anywhere to do it, but it was a big hit.through the years I've played in a million bars and drank a million beers. I live in Texas now and still do a lot of recording. Oh, I could tell you all the hard times but I guess I was just born to be a Singer of Sad Songs. | ||
